This Deposit Policy applies to all vehicle rentals made with Autohorn Fleet Services (“the Company”)

Deposit Requirement

Upon commencement of the rental period, the hirer (“the Hirer”) will be required to provide a deposit (“the Deposit”). The Deposit serves as security for any additional charges that may be incurred during the rental.

Deposit Amount and Authorisation

A Deposit amount of £250.00 shall be pre-authorised (blocked but not debited) on the Hirer’s payment card at the time of vehicle pick-up.

The Deposit amount will be deducted from the available balance or authorised expense limit of the payment card provided.

Use of Deposit

The Deposit may be utilised by the Company to settle any additional or incidental charges incurred during the rental period, including but not limited to:

• Refuelling or replacement of missing fuel upon return;
• Damages to the vehicle aligned with our damage policy;
• Additional rental days;
• Administration fees;
• Traffic, or parking offenses; 
• Excess mileage; and
• Any other authorised costs arising under the rental agreement.

Deposit Adjustments Based on Protection Package

If the Hirer purchases a protection package that reduces the applicable damage excess, the required Deposit amount shall be adjusted as follows:

• Where the damage excess is reduced to a lower amount, the Deposit shall be £150.00;
• Where the damage excess is reduced to £0.00, the Deposit shall be £100.00.
